Pray for Mikheil Saakashvili and his country of Georgia. The Russians have set up positions east of Gori and are in position to seize Tbilisi. If Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, can reach Tbilisi in time, it would appear that the Russians would not dare attack.
Here we go again the Russians are surrounding the capital city of Berlin, uh, no, it’s Tbilisi the capital of Georgia this time. They want to starve them into surrender. Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice is going to France to consult with Sarkozy. The U.S. will fly in humanitarian supplies to Georgia on Military Planes, and naval warships are on their way. The U.S. will support Tbilisi just like it did West Berlin. People of Tbilisi have courage, Europe may yet remember Berlin.
There is little time left. The Russians are tightening their strangle hold on Georgia, closing all roads and ports.
And what made Russia so bold? The Europeans blocked Georgia’s entry into NATO. Russia dare not attack NATO countries. Well, at least for now. If the Europeans should show any more weakness in the future, the Russian spheres of influence will grow with a sprinkling of puppet governments and a return of the iron curtain. The stage is set. Choices are to be made…

Whoa just a minute — can we please translate all this biz-speak about oil prices into plain English? I heard on the radio, spoken nonchalantly, a hidden gem of a biz-speak: “… several countries are considering reducing their SUBSIDIES for gasoline. Prorated translation: Governments are buying oil at inflated prices for their people. Those who effectively, actually, pay the taxes in these countries are buying oil at inflated prices. It’s not “the truth shall set you free”, but it’s that “the truth shall burst the speculators’ bubble”, and the truth is like a pin, and for those with a literary bent, I hereby announce as the naked Emperor that henceforth, the price of oil shall be $50 a barrel of sweet crude. I have spoken.
